There are several different ways to get around Cortland County. Often, when people first think about transportation, they think of their cars. But there's so much more out there - biking, walking, public transit. And don't forget about ride sharing, taxis, and other alternative modes. You can save a great deal of hassle and money if you take the time to consider all your options.

Hours of Operation:

Monday through Friday, 6am-6pm

Buses depart from the County Office Building on Central Ave. Cortland Transit utilizes a hail the bus system. Please signal the driver with your hand to stop the bus for a pickup. Routes 1-4 leave the County Office Building every 45 minutes.

Cortland’s Mobility Management system works on identifying our community’s transportation needs to work on providing a variety of transportation options.

To apply for a drivers licenses, an applicant must meet the eligibility criteria based on your state. You must also submit necessary documents and pass a driving test through your local DMV.
